So, in November 2008, my adventurous girlfriend Molly and I planned a trip way, way in the future, in the Summer of 2010 to travel on a special cruise to the Northern European Capitals on the Disney Magic. Back then, the trip seemed a million years away...
Flash to today, Monday, June 28, 2010. Molly and I have since been married at the Wedding of the Century on May 15, 2010 and this is our honeymoon. Very unique and exciting. For me, this is the first time I will be off the North American continent. For Molly, this is her second time in Europe, having once been to Rome as part of World Youth Day.
This Friday is a travel day. We will be flying from Atlanta to London on the Red Eye. Arriving at Heathrow around Noontime Saturday.
The cruise itinerary is very exciting and packed with locales that most folks heading over to Europe probably would never head off to... The full cruise itinerary is as follows:
July 6 - Embarkation in Dover, UK
July 7 - Sea Day
July 8 - Oslo, Norway
July 9 - Copenhagen, Denmark
July 10 - Warnemunde, Germany
July 11 - Sea Day
July 12 - St. Petersburg, Russia
July 13 - St. Petersburg, Russia
July 14 - Helsinki, Finland
July 15 - Stockholm, Sweden
July 16 - Sea Day
July 17 - Sea Day
July 18 - Disembarkation - Dover, UK
We are going to try and update our journal as we move along. However, with reports from earlier travelers of very slow to no Internet access on the ship, that might be tough. We'll do the best we can and take zillions of pictures.
